Français : La Renault 11 est, en compagnie de sa soeur 9, l'un des derniers modèles du constructeur au losange exportés outre-Atlantique, respectivement sous les noms Encore et Alliance. En fait ils sont même assemblés sur place, à des niveaux modestes certes, grâce au partenariat avec AMC !
Pour la gamme européenne, la 11 est renouvelée à l'été 87. La calandre fermée est la modification extérieure la plus visible. La Spring apparait à ce moment, et est proposée jusqu'à la fin de commercialisation du modèle, en 89. Entre-temps la 19, promise à une brillante carrière, a déjà pointé le bout de son capot... La Spring 1,2 est entrainée par un moteur de Super 5, le C1G de 1 237 cc délivrant 55 ch. 90 Nm de couple. La conception demeure rustique, l'alimentation se faisant par carbu Solex simple corps.
