Description The Snake Creek Armament Depot in the hills just to the North of Adelaide River was originally developed for the RAN during WWII. By 1959 the bomb dump was operated by the RAAF and carried a large store of bombs with other ordinance and also stored a large quantity of gelignite for the RAAF Darwin River Quarry. This small building was adequate for the provision of messing to all ranks for the small number of personnel employed at the bomb dump.
