English: BIRTH OF THE ROYAL VICTORY CHURCH OF CHINA
The first Royal Victory Church was birthed in China in September 1997, by the Senior Pastor Daniel Enyeribe Michael. But the story starts many years before. In 1991, the Lord called his servant, Daniel Enyeribe Michael, through the following scripture: You did not choose me but I chose you, and I appointed you to go and bear fruit, fruit that will last, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask Him in my name.¨ John 15:16 Secondly, the way and place was revealed on Sept 7, 1994, while Daniel was in Lagos Nigeria to collect a visa for Britain, following the invitation of his Senior Pastor, Dr. Fefegha. He explains it this way: “I was disturbed and greatly worried about the steps to take to fulfil the calling of the Lord. As I lay down, I had a vision: I was riding a unique bicycle through China. This bicycle reached a point and powered itself through where there was no way in the bush to the destination where people received me.” Thirdly, Pastor Daniel arrived in Hong Kong in June 1995 and contributed major assistance to existing Ministries and Churches. Thereafter, he was led into Mainland China in March, 1997. Initially he taught English language in a college, until the Lord spoke to Daniel on August 7, 1997, to plant Him a Church right in China! The Royal Victory Church like a root out of dry ground, grew from obscurity through persecution into the light. The Church has the five-fold Ministry in operation. The main role of Royal Victory International as a ministry is to take care of Nigerians who are away from home, train and equip them for their missionary fulfilment; and to evangelize and develop the land where God has brought us. We have witnessed through our sojourn in foreign lands that the church of God holds the victory that overcomes the world. From the initial church established in 1997 in China, Royal Victory International has now expanded to multiple churches in China, as well as Philippines, Nigeria, Cameroon, UK, Macau and Hong Kong. About the servant of God, Daniel: Daniel is the fifth out of six children born to Mr. & Mrs. Michael Mbawike of Umuabazu Lagwa. He lost his father when he was 12 and his mother at 22. The most senior in the family, Chief Linus took over the challenges and trained Daniel through a tertiary Institution. Daniel came out with flying colours from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka; as a Visual Communication graduate, majoring in Graphics. He taught briefly in the University of Port Harcourt, before joining Shell Petroleum as a Printing Consultant under his family company; Anna Grace Souvenir. In 1993 he became Designs Superintendent at Sunray Publications Ltd, a Nigeria- American media group. Daniel has not always been up-up there, he has known the pain of suppression and rejection especially as a Christian youth leader. Calling: Daniel received the first calling in December 1987 under a great presence and anointing, but could not leave his career. He remembers: “I felt I needed time and did not know how to give my all.” In 1991, four years later the Lord spoke to Daniel: “As soon as I came back to my house after work, on that fateful day I fell sick. I quickly dropped my bag and gathered myself together on the bed; then I heard this voice, it was like a whisper from the inside, but so distinct and audible saying: “Don't you believe, read John 15:16” In a moment the fever went, Daniel got up and read and wept; “You did not choose me but I chose you, And appointed you to go and bear fruit, fruit that will last, so that the Father will give you what ever you ask Him in my name." Pastor Daniel full of the Spirit and zeal started a Corporate Fellowship in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. On September 3, 1993 the Fellowship of 150 believers was inaugurated by the Rev. Zilly Aggrey. The Rivers State Commissioner for Information Mr. Bernard Graham Douglas was among the Guests of Honour who came to worship the Lord. “And appointed you to go” Daniel felt he had at least answered the call and could now sit back in Nigeria and watch the Lord use him, as well provide for his household. But then the Lord clearly revealed to Daniel on Sept 7, 1994 through the vision of “cycling in China” that the appointment was for him to go to China. In that same year, the Archbishop Benson Idahosa personally confirmed Daniel's appointment and commissioned him. |
