Description
Bottiglia con camera a forma di zucche sovrapposte, base piana circolare, superiormente un'ansa a staffa a sezione circolare con versatoio cilindrico. Impasto di color mattone, ingobbio dello stesso colore. Cottura ossidante. Esecuzione a stampo verticale. La bottiglia decorata in tricromia (caffè, rosso, crema) presenta due zucche che contengono arachidi e peperoncini, forse offerta simbolica di cibo ai defunti. Chris Donnan (1978) ha per primo messo in evidenza che questa tipologia di opere rappresenta mezze zucche piene di cibo che appaiono nelle cerimonie di presentazione del cibo ai signori divini nei vasi a linee fini dellan cultura moche. Lo studioso enfatizza la presentazione "accoppiata" di mezze zucche, generalmente unite da una corda, come si vede nei vasi a linee fini e anche nell'opera che presenta nella sua pubblicazione, purtroppo tralasciando la sua provenienza.
