Description
Italiano: Maschera antropozoomorfa a patina scura e lucida. La maschera è costruita attraverso il gioco di vuoti e di pieni composto dai volumi aggettanti della fronte, della mascella, delle corna, delle zanne e dal piano retrostante degli occhi. Il lungo setto nasale fa da elemento di connessione. Due fessure poste sopra la sporgenza degli occhi consentono al danzatore di vedere. Alla base una barba i in pelle conciata con pelo animale. Maschera attraverso cui si manifestano gli spiriti della foresta. I volumi aggettanti della fronte e del muso, le corna, le zanne, il pelo animale e un naso apparentemente umano, ne fanno un essere mostruoso, straordinario e terrificante. Garantiva l'ordine e la giustizia e danzava al funerale dei notabili e in occasione della fine del lutto (il cosiddetto "secondo funerale" che celebra l'arrivo del defunto nell'aldilà).
