| Description |
English: Railings The photograph is of the location of a railway embankment and bridge (over 370784) that used to carry a spur from the colliery at Pilsley to the Midland main line.
The bridge was removed many years ago and the embankment ahead (south-westerly) has been graded to provided Network Rail (the UK railway infrastructure company), and its predecessors, vehicular access to the main line, which is just a short distance ahead. Behind the viewpoint the route of the spur is still visible though this 370830 even though the embankment has been completely removed. To the left (southerly) Pilsley Road continues toward Morton and to the right, toward Pilsley. |
