Summary edit

Description
English: Railway bridge No 15, Levenmouth The bridge that carried the railway tracks to Methil power station and the docks crossed the River Leven close to its mouth on two spans but comprised three sections side by side. Only the farthest (eastern) section now carries rails and they are disused and disconnected from the national network near Thornton Junction. The central section appears to have been tarmacked at one time and the nearest section, which once took lines to the docks, is now a well-used but entirely unofficial footpath. The grassed area between the bridge and the car park was a rail-served coal yard until the mid-1970s and nearby was the site of Leven Dock, replaced in the 19th century by the docks at Methil.
