Description
English: Railway incline, Portreath The incline was built in 1838. It connected Portreath to the Hayle Railway which linked Camborne and Redruth. It brought mineral ore from the mines and by 1840 a reputed 100,000 tons of ore per year were being shipped out of Portreath.
