Description
English: A view from the (former) industrial area of Rajaville in Alppila, Oulu, Finland.
  • Rajaville, a manufacturer of concrete products, started moving its operationg elsewhere in Oulu and other parts of Finland in the 2000s, and its buildings and other facilities in Alppila were eventually demolished to make way for new apartment buildings.
  • In this photo, you can see a couple of these new buildings as well as some of the facilities of Rajaville still left at the time the photo was taken (note the remains of a heavily demolished building in the middle of the photo). Rajaville completely withdrew from the area in 2009.
Suomi: Näkymä betonielementtejä valmistavan Rajavillen (entiseltä) tehdasalueelta Oulun Alppilassa. Rajaville lopetti toimintansa alueella 2000-vuosikymmenellä, ja sen tehtaan rakennukset ja laitteet purettiin uusien asuinrakennusten tieltä. Valokuvassa näkyy pari tällaista uutta kerrostaloa ja myös otoksen aikaan vielä jäljellä olleita Rajavillen rakennuksia/rakennelmia (huomaa purettavana olleen teollisuushallin jäännökset kuvan keskellä). Rajavillen toiminta alueella loppui kokonaisuudessaan vuonna 2009.
