Español: El rancho de la última familia que vivió a fines del siglo XIX en el Monte de la Soledad, Salar de Llamara, en el sur de la Pampa del Tamarugal (al norte de Quillahua), cuando las poblaciones de tamarugos y algarrobos estaban colapsando por la explotación como leña para la minería de salitre (y anteriormente del guano en la costa cercana). Foto fue publicada por Isaiah Bowman en 1924. El lugar en 2024 pertenece administrativamente a la Región de Tarapacá, Comuna de Pozo Almonte y posiblemente se encuentre dentro del Sector Cuatro de la Reserva Nacional Pampa del Tamarugal o inmediaciones (eventualmente cerca del lugar marcado en los mapas antiguos como Puquío de los Guatacondinos o Huatacondinos. Se sabe que ese rancho tenía un pozo salobre pero del que se podía beber. |
