Nyack, just beyond the Piermont jetty, is the only town ofimportance on the western side of Tappan Sea. It is a prettyand prosperous village at the terminus of the Northern Railroadof New Jersey. Of late years, it has become one of the favoritesuburban summer residences, and for some reason has especiallyattracted many of the South Americans of wealth or promi-nence who live in New York and Washington. The village includes, besides Nyack proper, South Nyack, WestNyack, and Upper Nyack.
