Carved house post, Maori, Ngati Pikiao. From the meetinghouse Rangitihi, built 1867-1871. The house stood at Lake Rotoiti, near Rotorua, New Zealand. The principal owner was the Ngati Pikiao chief Waata Taranui. Auckland Museum, 20 May 2006.
