Ranunculus hederaceus Der Efeublättrige Wasserhahnenfuß (Ranunculus hederaceus L.) wächst im atlantischen Bereich Westeuropas an Quellfluren und Gräben, sowie an kleinen Fließgewässern. Bevorzugt wird basenarmes, sauberes bis höchstens mäßig nährstoffbelastetes Wasser. Die Art gilt als kurzlebige und konkurrenzschwache Frühjahrspflanze. Sie blüht ab Ende März und wird oft schon im Juli als Ganzes hinfällig. In Belgien gilt die Art als "gefährdet". Auf der Roten Liste Deutschlands wird sie als „stark gefährdet“ eingestuft, in vielen Bundesländern sogar als „vom Aussterben bedroht“ oder bereits ausgestorben.
