English:
Town hall. Based on the plans of István Vedres in 1804, master builder János Schwörtz built the town hall, and in 1882-1883 it was rebuilt in Neo-Baroque (Eclectic) style according to the plans of Ödön Lechner and Gyula Pártos. It was then that the façade decoration sculptures created by Sándor Árkai were made. Half-relief, cast artificial stone, double life size. They can be seen under the balcony on the first floor of the town hall. Inside are a couple modern paintings and sculptures, the highlight is an allegorical ceiling secco by Zsigmond Vajda (1889 works) in the general assembly hall and the three stained glass windows by Ede Katzmann glass artist (1883 works) - 10 Széchenyi Square = 6-8 Feketesas Street=1 Kiss Ernő Street, Belváros (Inner City) neighborough, Szeged, Csongrád-Csanád County, Hungary.

Szegedi Városháza. Az 1804-ben Vedres István tervei alapján Schwörtz János építőmester építette a városházat 1882-1883-ban Lechner Ödön és Pártos Gyula tervei alapján neobarokk stílusban építették át. A négy utcára szóló, négyhomlokzatú, minden oldalon rizalitokkal tagolt épület a régi alapokra épült. Magas alagsorra emelt, a rizalitokban kettő, a szárnyakon egyemeletes, manzárdtetős tömbház, tűzfigyelő óratoronnyal. A térre néző főhomlokzat 4+2+1(iker)+1+2+4 tengely, középen íves záródású, hármas kapuzattal, fölötte erkély, főpárkány fölé emelkedő ívében figurális kompozíció. Az épület ferde lábazatú, magas alagsorán ovális ablakok, előttük láncos korlát húzódik. A földszinti és emeleti ablakok egyenes záródásúak, az emeleten nagyobbak és díszesebbek, a rizalitban lekerekített sarkokkal. A színes cserepezésű manzárdtetőn kör alakú szellőzőnyílások vannak. A hármas, kocsibejárós kapuzatú kapualjból márványkorlátos lépcsők vezetnek a főlépcsőházba. A kutakkal ékes kicsi, udvarról jutunk az épület hátsó bejáratához és lépcsőházához. - 1883-ban készültek Árkai Sándor alkotta homlokzatdíszítő szobrok. Féldombormű, öntött műkő, kétszeres életnagyságúak. A városháza első emeleti erkélye alatt láthatók. Máshol az összekötő híd címereit, a főhomlokzat szoborműveit a „tiroli származású székesfehérvári Stumf János képfaragó” készítette. [1]. Belül: I. világháborús domborműves emléktábla (Avatás a turulos szoborrésszel 2000, Avatás 1923., 1950-ben eltávolították Papp József, Barta András alkotás)[2]; Allegorikus (mezőgazdaság) mennyezetfestmény közgyűlés karzatos termének mennyezetén (Felállítás 1889, szekkó, Vajda Zsigmond festőművész alkotás) [3]; a Házasságkötő teremben van a 'Szerelmespár' c. szobor Kligl Sándor alkotás (2002 márvány) és Fejér Csaba festményei(2002) [4]; a házasságkötő terem előcsarnokában négy darab 'Esküvő' c. domborműegyüttes Kligl Sándor alkotás (2002 gipsz?), a félemeleti fordulójában üvegablakok egyik Szeged címerével, két ablak pedig a régi, illetve az új városháza ábrázolásával látható (Felállítás 1883, Kratzmann Ede (üvegművész)) [5] + info sulinet.hu/oroksegtar/data/megyek_oroksege/Csongrad_megye/index_3.htm Itt volt a 'Szegedi direktórium emléktábla' Elhelyezték 1969-ben, 1992-ben eltávolították. - Városháza, azonosító: 3509, törzsszám: 2703 - Védett terület, azonosító: -9358 - Szeged, Belváros, Széchenyi tér 10=Feketesas utca 6-8 =Városház utca 1=Kiss Ernő utca 1. helyrajzi szám: 3936
