Description
Deutsch: Das Neue Rathaus in Hannover ist das Rathaus der Landeshauptstadt Hannover. Der wilhelminische, schlossähnliche Prachtbau in eklektizistischem Stil wurde 1913 fertiggestellt. Das ursprüngliche Rathaus war das Alte Rathaus, dessen Gebäude ab 1230 entstanden. Das Neue Rathaus ist eingebettet in den zehn Hektar großen Maschpark am Südrand der Innenstadt, außerhalb des historischen Stadtkerns von Hannover. Der Platz vor dem nach Nordnordost weisenden Nordflügel heißt heute Trammplatz. Der Südflügel ist dem Maschteich zugewandt.
