| Description |
Deutsch: Altes Rathauswappen der Stadt Gelsenkirchen, heute an der Fassade eines Nebengebäudes der Gertrud-Bäumer-Realschule angebracht (Zeppelinallee 1). Es zeigt das alte Stadtwappen von Gelsenkirchen (vor der Vereinigung mit Buer und Horst zum 1. April 1928). Schildträgerfiguren sind heraldisch rechts ein Hauer (Bergmann) und links ein Gießer (Stahlarbeiter), welche die damals wichtigsten Industriezweige der Revierstadt verkörpern. Die restliche Blasonierung siehe Beschreibung der Vektorgrafik des Wappens. Das Mosaik stammt aus dem Jahre 1894. |
