Title
English: Rattlesnake Ready to Strike
Description
English:

a brown snake in the grass curled up with its head pulled back

Rattlesnakes will usually give a loud warning before striking and can strike half the length of their body if provoked. Like any other wildlife, it's best to give them plenty of space. Though adult snakes will usually give a "dry bite" in which they do not inject venom, if bitten, you should immediately seek medical attention.
