Upper image: "East Indian Railway Water-Tank at Barwarie, Defended Against the Mutineers for Thirty-two Hours."

From 7 June to 9 June 1857 a small party of British railway officials working on the East Indian Railway held off a reported mob of 3000 Indian rebels from the rooftop of a railway water-tank before they were eventually rescued by loyal forces from Allahabad. Barwarie is a village 23 miles from Allahabad.
