The photograph was taken at Dhikala of Corbett National Park and Tiger Reserve. This species is one most important prey - species in TRs of the region. This should not be confused with the Hog Deer species (AXIS PORCINUS Zimmermann 1780) which is less brown and more greyish in colour.
