English: Page illustration from Der Dienst-Unterricht im Heere (Der Reibert), a German soldier's manual (army service training handbook), 1938 edition published in Nazi Germany.
  • Uniforms and insignia of the army of Nazi Germany (Wehrmacht Heer)
    • National Emblem: Hoheitszeichen or Wehrmachtsadler (German imperial eagle, military version of "eagle-and-swastika" emblem, breasteagel, tri-colour cockade and oak wreath for headgear)
    • Headgear: Steel helmet (Stahlhelm), peaked caps (Schirmmützen), field side cap, etc.
    • Tunics:
      • Waffenrock: In its Wehrmacht form as issued in 1935, it was a formfitting thigh-length eight-button tunic of fine feldgrau wool, without external pockets. The collar was taller than the service tunic and bore more elaborate Litzen, embroidered all in silver-white and mounted on Waffenfarbe backing; smaller Ärmelpatten, similar in appearance to Litzen, appeared under the buttons on the dark-green Swedish turned-back cuffs. Waffenfarbe piping also edged the collar, cuffs, front closure, and scalloped rear vent.
      • Feldbluse)
    • Gorget patches / collar tabs (Kragenspiegel, Kragenpatten) and cuff tabs (Ärmelpatten)
    • See uniforms, ranks and insignia, and corps colours (Waffenfarbe) of the German Army (1935–1945)
