English: Image from the photo album Reise des Reichskommissars nach Nord-Norwegen und Lappland vom 12. bis 23. Oktober 1942 (German for "The Reich Commissioner's journey to Northern Norway and Lapland from October 12th to 23rd, 1942")
  • Photo showing: Terboven's special train (German: Sonderzug) returning to Østbanestasjonen (Oslo East Railway ) on October 23rd. On the platform, a German soldier choir ("Soldatenchor") is lined up, which participated in the inspection trip northwards. Representatives of German authorities in the Reich Commissariat Norway (Reichskommissariat Norwegen) are also seen:
    • Josef Terboven (1898–1945), Nazi Germany's Reichskommissar in the German-occupied Norwegian territories during World War II 1940–1945.
    • Heinrich Fehlis (1906–1945), a German Schutzstaffel (SS) officer who commanded the Sicherheitspolizei (SiPo) and Sicherheitsdienst (SD) in Norway and Oslo
    • Hans-Hendrik Neumann (1910–1994), a German SS leader and manager, temporarily adjutant to SD leader Reinhard Heydrich and head of the NSDAP-Einsatzstab in Norway during WW2
    • Hans-Reinhard Koch (1902–1977), a German jurist and civil servant, head of the department for administrative affairs of the Reichskommissariat Norwegen
    • Wilhelm Rediess (1900–1945), the top-ranking SS and police leader during the German occupation of Norway during the Second World War, SS-Obergruppenführer
    • Emil Höring (1890–1973), a German police officer and SS leader holding various high-ranking positions, among them serving as BdO (Befehlshaber der Ordnungspolizei) under the Reich Commissioner for the German-occupied Norwegian territories

The photo album contains 178 pictures from Josef Terboven's inspection trip to German military troops and installations in Northern Norway, Finland, and the Murmanskfront (German: Eismeerfront, Lizafront, Litsa Front, later Petsamo-Kirkenes offensive) in the fall of 1942. Terboven (1898–1945) was Nazi Germany's Reichskommissar (RK) in German-occupied Norway during World War II from 1940 to 1945. The Finnish opera singer Aulikki Rautawaara (1906-1990) was part of Terboven's entourage and appears in many of the photos.
