English: Remains of Temple Mine Situated a short distance upstream from Parson's Bridge, the mine stands impressively above the Rheidol. It was worked over the period 1876 to 1887 for extraction of silver-lead ore (lead ore with a high silver content). The ore was hauled up the steep slope to Ystumtuen for onward shipment. The mine area is now securely fenced and access is only allowed by permission of the Countryside Council for Wales. |
