Description

An Irish boy who did well in the US remembers his Mother and Father with a beautifully crafted tombstone! The workmanship on this is really fine work at a time when machines did very little of the work.

Thanks in particular to [/photos/gnmcauley/ Niall McAuley] who found this monument on the (aptly named) FindagraveDOTcom site, confirming its location as Holy Cross church cemetery in Tramore, County Waterford. Thanks also to today's other contributors for the extra information on the Flanagan-Power family who commissioned the memorial, as well as the O'Keefe works that likely commissioned this photo of their own work...
