English: Site of former Renishaw Central station, 1993. View northward from the A618 Sheffield - Ollerton road, towards Sheffield - [? on the Trans-Pennine Trail]. The station had been on the ex-GCR Sheffield - Nottingham - Leicester - London main line, closed 5/9/66. It was called Eckington & Renishaw until 25/9/50 and closed to passengers 4/3/63, to goods 12/6/65. What a contrast with the Old Days - 50+ years ago! |
