Jumping the Gun - HM3 [Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class] Sandra Bryant and HM1 [Hospital Corpsman 1st Class] Gary Burgdoff, X-ray technicians at Nav Aer and REGMEDCEN [Regional Medical Center], Pensacola, Florida, wanted to be the first to reenlist at the new medical center, scheduled for completion in early 1976. So donning hard hats, they joined Commander Wilfred I. Casler, MSC [Medical Service Corps], U.S. Navy (left) in the future office of the medical center commanding officer to repeat the oath of enlistment.
