Description
English: Replica sailing ships at Bangor. On the left is the “Jeannie Johnston” a replica of a 19th century barque which carried immigrants from Ireland to north America during the famine. On the right is the “Matthew” a replica of the ship which took John Cabot to Newfoundland in 1497. They were visiting Bangor as part of its Sea Bangor festival.
