r. Howard C. Hill, Principal of theCumberland High School. The president gave a brief report inwhich he stated that, as evidence of the success of the sessions, over150 teachers were in attendance. Dr. Elinor L. Lord, Dean of Goucher College, asked permission tomake an important announcement to the Association; namely, thatDr. Noble had been authorized by the trustees of Goucher College tooffer two scholarships to as many graduates of accredited highschools in the counties of Maryland who should be able to enterGoucher College unconditioned. The money value of each scholar-ship would be one hundred dollars; therefore, fifty dollars additionalwould be necessary to pay for tuition; the successful holder mustalso live in one of the college dormitories. This announcement wasreceived with much applause. Mr. Reisler, of the Baltimore Polytechnic Institute, then movedthat the president appoint a committee of three to consider thematter of affiliation between the Maryland High School Teachers
