Description
Français : Résistance au roulement : cas d'une roue libre avec freinage (couple résistant).
  • Gauche : roue au repos.
  • Milieu : la force tractrice FR est juste suffisante pour faire basculer la roue ; mais le freinage ne le permet pas.
  • Droite : la force tractrice doit être suffisante pour que l'action du sol FC ait un couple suffisant pour vaincre le couple résistant CR.
English: Rolling resistance: case of a free wheel with a resistant torque (e.g. brake).
  • Left: wheel at rest.
  • Middle: the tracting force FR is just enough to rock the wheel, but the braking prevents it.
  • Right: the tracting force must be high enough so the action of the ground FC has e torque that overrides the resistant torque CR.
