Description
Español: Retrato del canónigo Mariano de Liñán y Morelló (1769-1844), catedrático de Historia y Lengua árabe en la Universidad de Valencia. Fue elegido diputado en las Cortes de 1820 y miembro del Estamento de Próceres en 1834. Fue además Comisario General de la Santa Cruzada y caballero gran cruz de la Orden de Carlos III. Fue elegido obispo de Teruel, cargo que no llegó a ocupar al fallecer en Madrid el día 14 de mayo de 1844. Se hizo famoso en su tierra por legar su fortuna de 55.000 duros para la traída de agua potable a la ciudad de Valencia.
