Description
English: An image of the official U.S. handover of the Isted Lion to Denmark
Dansk: Løven er lavet af H.W.Bissen og er et monument for den danske sejr ved slaget ved Isted, den 25. juli 1850. Den stod oprindeligt i Flensborg fra 1862, men blev senere taget af tyskerne til Berlin i 1864. Efter Anden Verdenskrig overdrog den amerikanske general Barker Istedløven til det danske folk, symboliseret i kong Christian X. Begivenheden hvor løven opstilles i Tøjhusmuseets gård i 1945 ses på fotografiet.
