Description
English: Cased set of handguns with accessories from W.A. Beckwith, London: Pepper-box revolver, caplock pistol, ramrod, powder flask, bullet molds, etc. Bought 1851 by the Botsfengselet prison in Oslo, Norway. At display at the Norwegian National Museum of Justice (Norwegian: Justismuseet) in Trondheim, Norway. Also bicorne hats for Norwegian Police 1854–1908.
Norsk bokmål: Våpenskrin med en pepperbox revolver, en pistol med flere løp, merka med «W.A. Beckwith London», en liten pistol med perkusjonslås, ladestokk, kuletenger for støping av kuler med passende kaliber, pistolnøkler og krutthorn. Mahognykassa er merka med produsentens navn: «W.A. Beckwith Gun Maker Skinner Street London». Innkjøpt til Botsfengselet i Oslo 1851. Gjenstandene er beskrevet i Digitalt Museum. Til venstre sees snutehatter til gallauniformer for politibetjenter og embetsmenn 1854–1908. Fra utstilling i Justismuseet i Trondheim.
