Íslenska: Haust 1917, verkamenn tjörusteypa Pósthússtræti en hestar, teymdir áfram af unglingspiltum, draga að þungann grjótmulninginn. Gufuvaltarinn "Bríeti Knútsdóttir" sér aftur á móti um að þjappa jarðefninu saman en valtarinn dregur nafn sitt af tveimur kröftugum bæjarbúum, Bríeti Bjarnhéðinsdóttur og Knut Zimsen. Til hægri sést stórhýsi Nathans&Olsen, Austurstræti 16 sem fullbyggt var þetta ár og ef vel er að gáð sjást stafir Landsbanka Íslands í gluggunum á neðstu hæðinni, en þar var afgreiðsla bankans þar til endurbyggingu Landsbankahússins var lokið vorið 1924. Fjær er pósthúsið, Pósthússtræti 5 og gamli barnaskólinn við Pósthússtræti, Pósthússtræti 3. *** Local Caption *** Gatnagerð í Pósthússtræti. Verkamenn leggja mulning.
