Created using software by J. Hyam Rubinstein and Robert Sinclair, described in their paper "Visualizing Ricci Flow of Manifolds of Revolution", Experimental Mathematics v. 14 n. 3, pp. 257–384.

I created original images using this program and processed them via Imagemagick.
