Description
English: Shows an arrangement of different texts, arranged around inset engravings of circus performers and one inset head and shoulders portrait of Charles? Ridgway, the proprietor. The touring manager was Stanley Riggs. Inset engravings show a circus ring, a lion, a tiger, a man standing on the rump of a galloping horse, a baboon, a bear, a hyena and a snake. Featured performers were: Rexo the escape king; Wort and Wattle in a comic entree entitles "The Spider", a troupe of jumping dogs; a performing thar; La Belle Beryl (contortionist), Henri Charles (hand balancer), Marion Rose (lady equestrienne and ariel [sic] gymnast, Balanso (comedy juggler), Broncho Billy (buck-jumper), Sultan the clever thoroughbred horse.
