English: Rika's Landing Roadhouse, a roadhouse on the National Register of Historic Places in Southeast Fairbanks Census Area, Alaska, United States. It is located at mile 252 of the Richardson Highway in Big Delta at a historically important crossing of the Tanana River. It is in the Big Delta State Historical Park and is NRHP Building #76000364, added 1976.
The roadhouse is named after Rika Wallen. This particular view is of an outbuilding with a sod roof. The building houses a museum maintained by the Delta Historical Society. The artifacts in the museum, dating from 1900 to 1950, were collected from local residents and include blacksmith tools, horse tack, dog harnesses and sleds, and household items. There is also a display of historic photographs. |
