Summary edit

Description
English: River Adur The western branch that rises near Itchingfield and joins the eastern branch north-west of Henfield. The river was improved from 1825 and was navigable up the modern day A24 but fell into disuse after the building of the Horsham-Steyning railway, though some barges still made the trip as late as the 1890s.
