English: River Adur. Taken from the old tollbridge looking north towards the A27 Shoreham flyover. Mill Hill is to the right and the white scarring in the background is the chalk pit of the former Beeding cement works. The Adur is a tidal river at this point and is being helped on its way by a stiff north easterly wind. See Bob's picture for a reverse view from Mill Hill at 6248 |
