English: River Wey from the Town Bridge. The Wey flowing through Guildford here is the course used by the Wey Navigation. The old Town Crane and the modern "Guildford Bargee" sculpture can be seen on the right bank in the photograph. The Town Bridge (foreground)is now used by pedestrian traffic only. In the distance is one of the two road bridges carrying Guildford's "gyratory system". |
