Description
English: Road replaces rail in Brecon This shot down Heol Gouesnou (named for Brecon's twin town in Brittany) across The Struet would have revealed a railway line had it been taken 60 years ago. Very little remains of the railway which until the early 1960's ran through Brecon. This inner relief road, houses, parks and offices cover most of its former route. One can't help but think that it would have proved a major tourist attraction had it survived until the modern age.
