English: Roadside Memorial These fatality reminders are commonplace round Ireland, and in view of the many needless road deaths round the country, they provide a useful reminder of those who were killed on the country's roads.
Nobody is buried here, it is simply a marker showing the place of death, and in this case an 11 year-old girl called Geraldine Maughan. It was not possible to find out more, but this memorial is beside the airport perimeter roadway, with the airport security fence beyond.
