Summary edit

Description
English: Roadside Montbretia (Crocosmia), Winnards Perch. Garden flower or noxious weed? It is both. You will find plenty of these bright and decorative plants in gardens. But they have spread to hedges and clifftops. Cornwall Wildlife Trust has a web page http://www.cornwallwildlifetrust.org.uk/news/news152_aliens.php "Halt the alien menace. Don't dump your garden rubbish on the verge." This tells us "In Australia the plant has been classed as a noxious weed and it is illegal to sell it or allow it to spread to adjacent land."
