Summary
editDescriptionRockfall, Redgate Beach, Torquay - geograph.org.uk - 1437742.jpg |
English: Rockfall, Redgate Beach, Torquay. This was one of Torquay's best and most popular beaches before it was officially closed because of rockfalls: 866510 A massive block, left, rests on demolished concrete defences. People still visit the beach. Access is possible, with care, down the path from Walls Hill, top left: 775762 At low tide people get round from Anstey's Cove, or land from boats. This photo was taken on an October afternoon but in summer the beach is a suntrap. A red speck below the sunlit cliffs, upper left, is a member of a group of rock-climbers. |
