DescriptionRoskilde kathedraal 16.jpg |
Frederik IV (1671-1730) was King of Denmark and Norway between 1699 and 1730. Without divorcing his first wife, queen Louise of Mecklenburg-Güstrow, Frederick secretly married the 19 year-old Countess Anne Sophie Reventlow. Three weeks after Queen Louise's death on 4 April 1721, he married her again, this time declaring her queen. She is buried here with 3 of their children. |
