Pilot Officer Dennis David, who damaged another Heinkel on the same day, autographs the trophy. Watching on the right is a new member of the squadron, Pilot Officer Roland Beamont (in flying helmet, with initials on his Irvin flying jacket), a future ace and famous postwar test-pilot. |
