Summary edit

Description
English: Part of the monument aux morts of Roye in the Somme; A woman sits forlornly whilst her son snuggles into her side-this represents the bombardment suffered by Roye and the general sense of despair. In the background the sculptor, Jules Dechin, had carved a representation of the ruins of the town and what was left of the church of Saint-Pierre although the relief is much worn by the exposure to the elements and much of the definition has been lost.
