Viele denken, das Internet sei nicht mehr als eine riesige Datenbank und Big Data viele Daten, erfasst von zahllosen billigen oder kostenlosen Apps und abgespeichert in modernen Datenbankarchitekturen. Das ist ein fataler Irrtum. In der Welt hinter dem Bildschirm entsteht ein Universum an künstlicher Intelligenz, das sich von Daten nährt -- je mehr Daten, desto besser. Lernende Maschinen, Millionen Euro schwer, klauben die Bruchstücke unseres Lebens auf und setzen sie zusammen zu einem unauslöschlichen Bild von uns und unserem Leben.
