Summary edit

Description
English: Running Chapel Falls The last drop of the harder section of the Afon Tryweryn, below the usual take-out for rafts is Chapel Falls, with a meaty stopper. Several lines are possible to try to get over the stopper slot, but most paddlers just take it at speed and boof. Although there had been a lot of overnight rain (for August), this far up the river, the flow is almost all down to the dam release from Llyn Celyn, which was at nine cumecs, the minimum for running rafting courses. Access to the lower river (including this section) is open to canoeists whenever the dam is releasing at 7.5 cumecs or above and in line with the Welsh Canoeing Association's policy on access, there is no longer any charge. However, Canolfan Tryweryn do request that paddlers sign in at the centre to acknowledge that they have read various paperwork.
