Deutsch: Vorderseite: Von Gottes Gnaden Elisabeth Kaiserin und Selbstherrscherin von ganz Rußland [Kyrillische Schrift]. Drapierte Büste der Zarin Elisabeth nach rechts. Unten das kyrillische Kürzel CΠB für die Münzstätte.

Rückseite: MONETA RUBEL - 17-51 [Kyrillische Schrift]. Bekrönter Doppeladler mit Sankt Georgswappen auf Brustschild.

Kommentar: Elisabeth (1741-1762), geboren 1709, gestorben 1762 (nach orthodoxem Kalender 1761), war die Tochter Peters des Großen. Sie förderte die Künste und Wissenschaften, betrieb aber auch die Günstlingswirtschaft. Sie war mit dem Fürstbischof Karl August von Holstein verlobt, der starb aber noch vor der Hochzeit an den Pocken; sie blieb unverheiratet. Russland kämpfte unter ihrer Herrschaft erfolgreich im Siebenjährigen Krieg, ihr unerwarteter Tod begünstigte allerdings dann die Siege Friedrichs II. von Preußen.
