Kavallerieoffiziere.

Im den Jahren 1805 und 1806 fertigte Carl Adolph Heinrich Hess eine sowohl künstlerisch ansprechende als auch uniformkundlich interessante Serie von 16 Tafeln über die damalige sächsische Armee. Der Titel der Serie lautet Abbildung der Chur-Sächsischen Truppen in ihren Uniformen unter der Regierung Friedrich August III. Die Tafeln bestechen durch ihren Detaillierungsgrad und bieten eine wertvolle Unterstützung bei der Beurteilung des äußeren Erscheinungsbildes der sächsischen Armee während des Feldzuges von 1806.
