Deutsch: Originalgetreue Nachbildung des Reliefs eines Säulensockels aus dem Bereich des Legionslagers von Mogontiacum. Das Relief zeigt zwei gefangene Barbaren die mit einer Kette zusammengebunden sind. Der Säulensockel war Teil einer Pfeilerhalle, die möglicherweise zum Praetorium des Lagers gehörte. Er wurde als Spolie beim Bau der zweiten Stadtmauer um 350 und gleichzeitgem Abriss des Lagers verwendet.
Fundort: Mainz, Kästrich. Original aus der 2. Hälfte des 1. Jahrhunderts. Landesmuseum Mainz (Inv.Nr. S 269)
Français : Reproduction fidèle à l'original: Barbares captifs attaches par le cou à une même chaîne. Les deux personnages sont imberbes, debout, les jambes croisées, les mains liées derrière le dos; ils n'ont pour vêtement qu'un mantelet qui leur couvre les épaules.

English: Faithful replica of the relief of a column base from the area of the legionary camp of Mogontiacum. The relief shows two captured barbarians tied together with a chain. The column base was part of a pillared hall, which may have been part of the camp's praetorium. It was used as spolia during the construction of the second city wall around 350 and the simultaneous demolition of the camp. Location: Mainz, Kästrich. Original from the 2nd half of the 1st century.
